In the winter of 1908 times were tuff for women who tried to brave the frontier. For one young woman, Jennette Taylor, seemed to have a bit of bad luck moving to the inn she and her twin brother, Walter, inherited. The winter was cold and freezing as they traveled to the inn. Once they arrived they discovered Heavenly Town to be a ghost town.
Excited about starting a new life Jennette hesitated, and soon her life changed in an instant the moment her brother disappeared. As new people arrived and the town begins to grow Jennette survives all alone, however, she falls in love with an Indian. Because they are from two different worlds she tries to court other gentlemen. Her love grows stronger for a man she can’t have.
After her dearest friend, Noel, disappears without a trace, so do the men in her life. As she goes on with her life she begins to find new meaning through her journey and realize there are reasons for everything to happen.

Heavenly Town, The Inheritance is a book that will take you back to a time you've never been, yet makes you feel like it's familiar. I like the way the story progresses and I like the fact that it takes place in a simpler time. I really wished we would have more on Walter, but Jeanette held up the story quite well. To close, Heavenly Town is a unique look at a time that seems comfortable, but was full of fear and worry. People didn't take each other for granted. Good job, Kris!Product details
